Why Turkey?

Turkey has 80 million people, is the 8th largest Muslim country, and only has 1 evangelical Christian for every 15,000 people (0.007%). Many cities with hundreds of thousands of people have no church at all.

Situated at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, Turkey is strategically located to impact many other countries on both continents.

As one of the most modern Muslim countries, American church planters are less impeded by the many cultural barriers found throughout the Muslim world. One element of this is a level of religious freedom which is conducive to the spread of the gospel.

We have a number of preexisting relationships with Turks and others within Turkey who are eager to help us establish and advance the work.
